Why is Parklife in Whitby?

When visiting the town on our many holidays to Whitby we noticed that there was no baby clothes shop in Whitby and having asked around there had been one that stood out, 'Winifreds of Whitby' that was fondly remembered by so many, so with that in mind we set out about moving north and creating a name that would again be seen as 'the baby shop in whitby' with the added touch of luxury and designer names.

And then came the website?

We have now built this all new eCommerce website to enable many more people to shop with us and to keep our established customers up to date with our latest collections. We manually check/update the website everyday and this helps us to ensure the items displayed are actually available and the content is kept fresh. 

......and what about now?

In the early summer of 2011 we took the decision to close the shop due to repeated and unacceptable major problems with our leased premises to move the business online and now trade exclusively online.

and into the future.....

We are hoping to introduce a few more brands to our collection over the next 12 to 18 months. More information will follow.

Karen Carnall
Karen, director and company secretary, juggles her life between our 4 young children and the shop, and is always looking for new up and coming brands to bring to the rails.

Karen Stone
Karen (also known as David Dickinson for her love of foreign holidays & tanned skin) joined us at the start of 2006 and has been an absolute find, with an eye for everything designer if she ain't off shopping at Selfridges she's spending her wages in the shop, nice!!
